Nantwich

Nantwich, an old Roman town in the South East of Cheshire.

Nantwich is a small town in Cheshire. It's history can be traced back to Roman times and boasts among the highest listed buildings in England. Once famous for it's salt industry (used for food preservation before refrigerators), it is now home to International Cheese and Jazz festivals amongst other things. The oldest listed building in Nantwich is St Mary's Church from the 14th Century which is considered as one of the finest medieval churches in England!

Today it's nice to get lost amongst it's old streets, stop for coffee in the many cafe's and enjoy the ancient architecture.
